Great value for the price

As a first-time buyer, I was really looking for the best deal. I got the At-Home Landline Medical Alert and was happy to see they waived the activation fee, which saved me a bit right off the bat. The annual plan also offered a nice discount, making the monthly cost very reasonable compared to what I saw elsewhere. It felt like a smart investment for the cost. The device itself is simple and works as advertised. I definitely feel like I got good value for my money.

So happy with this!

I got the At-Home and On-the-Go VIP and it's truly wonderful. The mobile app for caregivers is so helpful for checking in on my dad throughout the day. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he's protected even when he's out and about! Everything was super easy to set up. I'm definitely going to tell all my friends about LifeFone; it's just what we needed!

Good value for peace of mind

I was looking for the best deal on a medical alert system and LifeFone seemed to offer good value, especially with the annual plan. I got the At-Home and On-the-Go Voice-in-Pendant. The price point felt fair for what you get, and knowing there's 24/7 monitoring is a big relief. I compared a few places, and this one offered a good balance of features and cost. It feels worth the investment for the safety it provides.

Detailed VIPx experience

I recently ordered the At-Home and On-the-Go VIPx system for my father. The online ordering process was clear, and I appreciated the detailed product descriptions which helped me choose. Shipping was prompt, and the package arrived well-protected. Unboxing was straightforward; the main unit and pendant were easy to identify. Setting up the device was intuitive; I just plugged in the base station, charged the mobile unit, and followed the simple instructions to test it. The fall detection pendant also seemed to work during our test. I called customer support once to confirm the testing procedure, and they were polite and knowledgeable. The mobile app for caregivers is a nice addition, giving me extra insight. My only very minor feedback is that the volume on the mobile unit could be a tiny bit louder for someone with hearing loss, but it's generally adequate.

Easy to use for Grandma

My grandma needed something for emergencies, so I got her the At-Home Landline Medical Alert. She's not great with new tech, but this was super easy for her to understand. The big button is perfect. She accidentally pressed it once, and they called right away to check on her, which made us all feel better. It just gives everyone peace of mind, you know? Good experience overall.

Good service, quick delivery

I ordered the At-Home Cellular Medical Alert for my mom. Setup was pretty straightforward, which was nice. It arrived two days earlier than the tracking said, which was a pleasant surprise. The monthly cost feels fair for the peace of mind it provides. My only minor gripe is that the user manual could be a bit clearer on some of the troubleshooting steps, but overall, a solid purchase.

Reliable as always

This is my third time using LifeFone, this time for my aunt with the At-Home and On-the-Go VIP. I've always found their service consistent. The setup was just as easy as my previous orders for my parents. I like that the mobile unit feels sturdy. Delivery was quick, a day earlier than tracking estimated, which was a nice surprise. It's why I keep coming back; they're reliable.

Decent service, minor issues

I ordered the At-Home Cellular Medical Alert system for my mother. Setup was pretty straightforward, and the base station works well. The range seems adequate for her house and yard. My main gripe is that the battery life on the pendant wasn't quite as long as I'd hoped, needing a charge more often than I anticipated. Delivery was on time, and customer service was helpful when I called with a question about testing the button. Overall, it's a solid choice, but they could improve the pendant's battery.

My dad doesn't have a landline anymore, does the at-home system still work or do I need a special one?

D Daisy 3 months ago
They have a cellular version for at-home use, so no landline needed! That's what we got for my grandma and it works perfectly.

S Steve 3 months ago
Yeah, you just need to make sure you pick the 'At-Home Cellular Medical Alert' option. It uses cellular service instead of a phone line.

Hey, thinking about getting the VIPx for my grandma. Anyone know how long shipping usually takes to like, Florida? Need it before her trip.

A Amber Marsh 1 month ago
Mine got to Orlando in about 4-5 business days. Pretty standard really.

Yeah, I'd say give it a week just to be safe. They ship pretty quick but postal service can be iffy sometimes.

Looking at LifeFone vs Medical Guardian for my dad. Anyone have experience with both or why they picked one over the other?

C Colin 2 months ago
I went with LifeFone because their fall detection seemed a bit more reliable based on what I read, plus the AARP discount helped. Medical Guardian was a bit more expensive for similar features.

Heard good things about both, but LifeFone's customer service was a big factor for me. My friend had issues with Medical Guardian's responsiveness. Just my two cents though.

Is LifeFone actually good compared to something like Medical Guardian? Seeing a lot of ads for both and can't decide.

M Megan F. 2 months ago
I switched from Medical Guardian to LifeFone for my dad. Honestly, I found LifeFone's customer service a bit better, and the equipment felt sturdier. Plus, their mobile app for caregivers is really handy.

Both are solid options, honestly. LifeFone felt a bit less pushy with sales, and their fall detection has been reliable for my aunt. Medical Guardian has a lot of features too, so it might come down to specific pricing offers when you sign up.

Does LifeFone ever do free months? Or like, waive the setup fee? Trying to save a few bucks for my mom.

D David 3 months ago
They totally do! I got a free month when I signed up for the annual plan last year. Look for promo links.

Yeah, they usually have deals like waived activation or a free lockbox if you go for quarterly or annual billing. Sometimes you just gotta mention it when you call or check special landing pages.
